Today wasn't as interesting, but it was busy as hell. I was on the cardiac heart patient ward aka old people >_< It smelled that funky old smell.
I think i saw like four olg guys walking around in nothing but briefs haha everything was so....loose haha eeeewwwwww bad images
Yeah, anyway the lady i worked with.....damn i forget her name!!! She was so damn cute, shes this tiny little blonde lady, like 5 feet tall and she curls her hair all swiss maid like, and shes just awesome. So i trained with her.
At one point this old man comes wandering up to me, all teary eyed. He had gotten lost and couldnt remember what room he was in! Lucky i remembered him, cause the nurses had no idea who he was, but he had managed to walk to the oposite side of the ward. So i walked him back, what a dear haha.
I kinda wish i could be a nurse haha cause male nurses are babes lol.

Day 1: Maternity
Yuppers, today i was on the maternity ward. Haha it was a sucky place to start, cause ppl were straight up havin babies.
So the first room im supposed to go into, im just about to walk in when a nurse is like
WHOA U CANT GO IN THERE

CAUSE ITS AN AIRBORN PRECAUTION
holy fuckin shit
when i learned about airborn in training, it was scary. Its supposed to be air sealed and ppl are supposed to wear masks. But here the door was wide open, i had no mask or gown, and Donna, the lady i was with, was walkin in and out.
So i had a freak out. There are supposed to be signs on the door, like really really really needs to be signs on the doors. Thats how we get in trouble. So we had to report that the nurses were not doing their jobs haha oops
And apparently the blue scrubs i wear were not acceptable on the maternity ward so they had me change into some green ones.
There were alot of really really really big pregnant ladies walkin around haha. Normally i never see such pregnant ppl on the street, i guess its because they all go to the hospital when they r about to pop???
Ya, then we went to ready the OR room cause a lady had just had a sesection....whoa it smelled so funny.
and the birthing rooms.....blood.....gah....blood. Babies are messy, i dont want any haha jk.

went to the butterfly gardens with Hannah. It was sweet haha. The whole time i was attempting to stick a butterfly in my jacket so i could give it to brittney and scare the shit out of her ^_^

Thursday:
second last day of training
learned how to enter isolation rooms, made me kinda nervous
learned im weak
had Cortlin show up suddenly at the hospital cause his co-worker had been in an accident. Like a good co-worker he took him to the ER then ditched haha. So he was the first, and last, to see me in scrubs. Fuck i hate them.
Went for coffee with Brittney, Sam and Emily B. it was awesome, i love those ladies. It was super nice to see emily again too.

Then transfered to my site Royal University (RUH)
Got a tour of the hospital and all the crazy places
Im not looking forward to the Psych ward or the ER in any way shape or form. Too much blood and pain and crazy.

I feel smartness
So for the past two days i've been doing my hospital orientation at St.Pauls. Been having to get up at 5:30 :( sucks major ass.
First day we got our ID badges haha my picture looks sarcastic, thats the only way i can describe, im lookin down at the camera with a stupid half smirk on my face.
Basically im the youngest one except for this 21 year old girl and this 19ish? year old guy. Otherwise its all immigrants and bored house moms haha. I honestly thought us young ones would be rude and obnoxious, but those house moms FUCK, i wanna kill them. Theres one whos a redhead, and she basically has "bitch mom" stamped across her forehead. I just pictured her children hating her..... The other one looks exactlly like Hannahs mom, except pale and black hair. One exception, Hannahs mom is sweet. This lady acts like shes 17. all she does is gossip and say "like, omg".
Rage.
Then theres this old chinese lady, and we have bonded haha. I told her how i went to China, and shes been my BFF ever since. We eat lunch together with the 19 year old guy and this 55 year guy named Clifford haha.
Yesturday we did communication exercises. Basically they want us to be assertive but polite, so when faced with a problem, instead of saying YOU did this YOU should have....they want us to make it "I statements". Basically we were supposed to discourage at work gossip haha
So we did this exercise where two ppl would stand up, one was given a statement that has actually been reported, and the other was given the line "I feel ________ When you ________ In the future, i would like _____"
So Clifford gets up with this Gabriel dude and Gabriel is like "Damn, did you see that girl? She looks so hot in those tight pants".
Cliffords response was... "I feel awkward when you single out that girl.....in the future...don't mention this to me ....because.....i already know."
lololol u had to be there, the discussion leader basically fell on her ass laughing.
Today we had a safety presentation all morning, WHIMIS and such. We learned about how there are "normal" rooms, and "precaution" rooms haha
Also there are three types of precaution rooms
1. Contact: have to wear gloves and gowns cause physical contact with anything the patient has touched is potentially a no no
2. Drop: Have to wear gowns, paper masks, and goggles haha. Basically its patients who have a one meter radius around them where they could cough/spit/something gross on us haha
3. Air Born: these rooms im pumped for haha, cause theres only four in existence at RUH. You go into this little room and get air sealed in. Gotta put on a gown and this M95 masks that have to be airsealed around your mouth and nose. Then you get released into the room.
Trippy.
So she spent the morning scaring the crap out of me about how i will get sick if i dont wash my hands 10202746320746 times/hour.
she did a test where she gave us this lotion, then made us go wash our hands. Then she put us under a black light. The lotion glowed to show us how much we suck at washing our hands haha.
In the afternoon we got our scrubs, and when the leader, Tyler, asked me what i thought of them, i said i looked like a douchebag. Ever since then he thinks im super chill so he swears around me lots haha. just makin friends everyday ?? >_<
I like walking around the hospital in scrubs tho....for two reasons:
1. ppl smile at me like im a smart important nurse or something haha
2. the other grounds/maintanence guys...they r pretty ^_^
Then they took us upstairs to this old abandoned maternity ward.....fuck my life....it was the scariest thing ever. There was this one dark hallway where it was dark except for this grimy window lettin a little bit of light in, and there was old equipment piled to the ceiling with old wheelchairs laying around. It looked like a scene from this asian horror movie i watched.....
So i took pctures ^_^
Yeah, it was a long day. But i learned lots i suppose....like i could spread disease to those i know and love ....

Baby i can see your halo
Whoop whoop for weekend reviews.
Friday:
worked from 10-2. blah, im really starting to dislike Kognitive
Then Hannah picked me up and we wandered around the mall. Sarah was workin at orange julius so we pretended to pay for a drink and she gave it to me for free ^_^ heart u sarah. Then we picked up Hannah's little sis, dropped her off at home, then went to pick up liz liz liz
We went to get hot n readys of course, its a tradition now haha. Then Liz had to go to a friends house cause she was goin to the bar with Subway ppl.
I felt super bad tho, cause originally Hannah and I had planned to go on James' pub crawl, but when he made it sound like it wasnt gonna happen, i made plans to go watch the Knowing. Then James suddenly says he has our wristbands, and Hannah didnt wanna see a movie first lol so i cancelled the movie :( i dont like bailing.
So Hannah and i went to the Pat to meet James. basically there was a ton of confusion and we didnt get into the bar until eleven at the Skuz.
So Hannah and i just cruised and talked about the wonderful possible future haha. I sure am gonna miss that girl when she goes to Calgary :(
When we did make it into the bar, we said a quick hey to Dave and James, Dave came and danced with us for a bit haha. Not gonna lie, Daves got the moves, no lies.
There must have been like three pub crawls there plus the regulars, so it was a little too crowded for my taste.
When we decided to leave, i went to get the coats and ran into a douchebag who was not happy to see me at all haha. So he said his bit and ya, i just wanted to leave. Some ppl just cant let the past go.
Saturday:
Was not doin well at work, period haha. It was a disaster.
So i left early and went to McNally and met Cortlin. We exchanged friday night stories, wandered around, then left. lol i love McNally, it always chills me out when im feeling razzed.
I was leaving tho, and my car was in one of those stalls that is on a downward angle, and my car is front wheel drive haha so the bottom of the stall was full of icy slush so i couldnt reverse out at all .
By the time i got home i wanted to punch something, chill mood gone >_<
Watched TWILIGHT. Fuck, finally. ive been waiting for that movie since the day i realized i was in love with Robert Pattinson haha. Its just one of those movies that puts a dumb smile on my face for the entire thing haha.
Later my mom dropped me off at James'. I ended up having to do a work conference call in his computer room for half hour :( That was a pain in the ass.
after that was done i drank, of course. it was a good time tho. It was nice to see ppl.
Sucked Liz didn't come, she always seems to have other things to do lately sigh.
Hannah came for a few minutes but wasnt feelin good yet :( so she left early. Sam came and went fast too! So did Britney! So did Faye! haha oh goodness.
So it was Kat and I for most of the night.
Oh yeah, at one point Faye was like "hey i like ur shirt"
so we traded ^_^ haha. i think only like three ppl noticed.
Then i was obsessing about twilight as usual and managed to spit out the line "When his eyes turn gold i melt like butter in the microwave" ??????? wtf megan hahaha. I think i was thinking about popcorn a bit when that one came out.
Kat drove Johnny Owen and I for a food run to mcdicks haha I had a double cheeseburger and it was actually the most delicious thing i have ever eaten.
One of my fav moments of drunken brilliance was when i was in the bathroom, washing my hands. I kinda looked at myself in the mirror, and i had no freaking idea who i was. So i ran outside to Kat and Sam and was like "whoa...do u ever look at urself in the mirror and think....hey....whos that?"
it was dumb
Yeah, Kat drove me home where i slept for like four hours then had to go to work :(
Sunday:
went to work in dread haha. Josh, my manager came into my shift to basically teach me how to not let people say no. Whenever someone tells me they aren't interested i politely say thanku for ur time and walk away.
wrong
apparently i should be like WHOA JUST A SECOND, when they try to walk away >_< but i feel like a dick.
But he made me do it anyway, and followed me around the store for two hours haha. It was sweet tho, he kept jumping in when i would forget part of the new pitch and basically make the close for me ^_^
After Josh left i talked to this one guy for half an hour about how hes a teacher gone principal. He was like whoa u should come teach at my school, we r looking for young ppl like u. Ha ha but im not a real teacher YET plus its on a reserve somewhere out of town so i doubt that would work.
Got home, made a fried balogny sandwhich with egg cause i couldnt stomach anything earlier (damn u booze). I was eating it in Kayla's room and suddenly shes like "umm.....ur lips bleeding"
and it was, hardcore bleeding for no reason too. so that sucked cause its still not stopping, half hour later haha.
Tonight im hopin that Liz will be available for coffee and catchup!!!!!

Some ppl just think they shit gold
I should really just make this into a cooking blog cause thats a big portion of what i talk about.
Today i got home from work and made this rice dish. Took leftover chicken flavoured rice, fried it. Then took bean pod things, fried them in a plum, raspberry vinagrette, added the rice. Put into a big bowl and topped with motzerella cheese curds.
It was pretty good. Made me feel healthy anyway haha
Today I bought a 16 Piece set of dishes, salad plates, bowls and mugs from Candian Tire for only 17$. They weren't flawed or anything, the box was just seriously messed up haha. So yes it was quite the deal.
Not sure why i bought them. I mean, its not for sure im goin anywhere this summer, but meh. My mom was super excited when i told her, said she was proud i was planning for my future or something.
Sigh, yeah. I just like feelin like im growin up in some ways haha even if im not.
Oh yes, and here is a little hint to those who think its funny to insult people. If you call me stupid, i won't txt you back. SHOCK. I thought you were joking at first until you said dropping out of school made me stupid. There is more then one reason people drop out. And its not cause I'm stupid. Sorry I'm not perfect.

Do i have to touch bed pans?
So i woke up this morning, and STILL i had that rank pain in my stomach from yesturday. Except today it moved down to my abdomen, yeah!! :(
My mom told me to go to the mediclinic after my work thing but meh i was lazy
SO i went to St.Pauls hospital for my hospital scrubs fitting/paper work ish thing.
Besides this one guy who looks just like Wayne from our grad class, i was the youngest one there. Everyone else is basically stay at home moms who got bored and need something to do, or older creepy ppl.
So that was painfully boring, but i got paid for the two hours so i can't complain.
Went home

Then i watched Maury and it was the best part of my day. It was all about these teenage girl under 16 who wanted to have babbies haha. They were so ghetto and bitchy and slutty and good lord, i dont even think i had the guts to talk to guys when i was 15, let alone demand their sperm to make babies.
society, im tellin ya. It's just rushin downhill every freakin day.
Made supper. Bob doesnt like salmon so he wouldnt eat the potato bake/thinger which was freakin great thank u very much. So we were both kinda goin around eachother cookin our own things and i was like .....whoa.....its liek Iron Chef....kinda.....not really.
But i can dream cant i????
Yes so this is a random story but i insist on telling it because i know if Brittney reads it she will enjoy it as much as i did haha.
So monday im reading the paper, and by read i mean scan headlines until something catches my eye. And suddenly i read
"VAMPIRE REMAINS FOUND IN VENICE"
haha yeah, so i was all over that shit. Basically when Venice was hit with the plague back in the ancient day, they had superstitions that vampires were behind it. Throughout history, ppl have heard about this old ritual where, in order to stop vampires from coming back to life once you had managed to "subdue them", you were supposed to put something uneatable in their mouth so they couldnt bite. So yeah, they found these female remains in a mass grave of plague victims with a brick shoved in her mouth.
Probably superstition, but in my dream world im gonna pretend that its all legit

And thats all i have to say about this day.
My mom told me to go to the mediclinic after my work thing but meh i was lazy
SO i went to St.Pauls hospital for my hospital scrubs fitting/paper work ish thing.
Besides this one guy who looks just like Wayne from our grad class, i was the youngest one there. Everyone else is basically stay at home moms who got bored and need something to do, or older creepy ppl.
So that was painfully boring, but i got paid for the two hours so i can't complain.

U paranoid ass
Today was quite excellent i must say
I got to sleep in til nine, then went to work from 12-3. It was crazy slow which kinda sucked but oh well, thats the new Wayne's problem. Not mine ^_^
While i was at work Hannah txt me and told me that Arthur works at Reggies now haha
So right away i called Sam who wasnt in class and was like.....reggies....like now.
So we went, and Hannah was correct, he does indeed work there haha so we caught up on stuff for a hour or so, then went to the grocery store cause Sam needed.....Mango Chutney? wtf is mango chutney. we didnt know. they didnt know. But eventually it was found, and we still dont know.
Then we went to Stasia cause they had a check there for me. That one chick from highschool was there....wow, this is bad i dont remember her name. Hung out with megan wingate....has angel wings tattooed on her back....morgan....amber.....fuck i give up. My bad
Now im home, and it feels like someone punched me in the stomach :(
so im gonna go lie on it haha

Im so bored
I don't feel like going into too much detail about the weekend. Not much happened
went to see a play at Persephone with my mom, sis and aunt. It was good. Mr. Morari was there haha. At one point they were talking about French history and i just knew that he must have been twitching at how wrong it was.
After that i hung out with Hannah til around twelve
then went home ^_^
im actually glad i got to bed early
went to work this morning and was awake and alert. Made some money....not that i shall ever see it haha.
Got home, was talking to Sam and i randomly decided to make her a facebook account haha....with her permission of course. So there u go my love, you are now part of the addiction that is facebook.....ill teach u how to use it haha

I wanna make u clap again
K so, besides the poor me session in yesturdays blog, heres what i did all week!
Tuesday i worked, then i went for happy special fun time at Earls. Not gonna lie Liz, im so glad u called while i was on the way haha i was trippin balls.
Wednesday i got woken up by Cortlin wanting dim sum, jerk. jk, it was too cold for anyone to work so he and the guys got the day off. So around 930 we headed out for dim sum. but of course we didnt think to check what time anything opened so that was an epic fail. Went to this palce on circle called Johnny Boys. I had a mediocre waffle with strawberries on it. All it did was make me want Liz's waffles cause they kick ass.
Then i went to work. They give us 50$ gift cards when we start at Kognitive, so i was lookin around at what i might get, and im pretty sure i decided on a waffle iron haha. of waffles
After work i watched Role Models. so friggin funny
Then i went to babysit the neighbours for the first time since probably summer. It was blah. We basically watched Gremlins til they went to bed, then of course i switched to Iron Chef America.
Thursday, got up and did round two dim sum with C, but we actually went on time.
It's actually a small percentage more delicious when you go right at open, no joke
there was this one guy eating alone, and this guy he knew came in and was like "SIr! I havent seen you in ages! Would you do me the honor of joining me?"
i dont know why i found this so impressive haha it was all just so polite
got home, it was my day off so i did my house cleaning
went for a tan
made cottage cheese muffins. ya i know ur all thinkin EWW, but they r actually super good.
