Just got home from Regina, buit before i get to that i shall talk about Friday
Friday was the day Cortlin left for Mexico with his family, so i decided to be nice and got him an icecream cake with a dinosaur on it lol. I owed him a cake cause he brought me one when i was sad, and he said he had been craving one.
So i went over to his house and the entire living room was covered in suitcases and clothes haha.
We hung out for like an hour then went over to James' to watch the game, Canada vs some other country haha. That shows how close i was paying attention. All the guys were there and i havent seen them in what feels like forever so i was really excited :) I know that i kinda just sat there all quiet and blah lol and im sorry for that. But honestly i was just enjoying all of your company, its been a while since our last chill night
Left around two, begged Cortlin to take me to tropical paradise, but alas i did not get to go haha. So that sucks.

Next morning i woke up bright and early to drive to Regina to see Kayla and her new lover Ozzie. I enjoy his name on account of me now being able to ask "Hows life in the land of Oz". First time i said it, kayla didnt catch on fast enough haha
anyway, i got there and Kayla was no where to be found, not answering her phone etc etc. So i was just standing there with my overnight bag, my laptop, and a box of treats i had brought for her, and i looked like such a dumb dumb. So i got pissed, pissed to the point where my face turned red and i wanted to cry haha. So i just kept calling and calling and texting and calling until eventually she answered and said she was at Ozzies which made me even more mad.
So as i sat and considered going back home, she showed up all red faced from running all the way from ozzies apartment. So i kinda let it go....kinda
Saw her new dorm. Its pretty ghetto not gonna lie. but her room is clean at least haha
Then Ozzie came and i got to finally meet him
he's very well dressed, chinese, very friendly. Kinda reminded me of Bo in his face structure a bit. all in all it was a very good first impression :)

After Ozzie left i drove Kayla to work at Michi, this sushi place downtown. Its amazing. They have these traditional japanese rooms with the sliding doors where u have to take off your shoes and low tables and stuff. And the sushi is sooooooo good.
Once i dropped her off i went wandering around the cornwall mall for a bit, it sucked balls.

Then i got lost trying to find the RCMP base cause i was gonna go and have supper with Sam :)
after driving around like a douche bag for like 40 min i finally found her!!!! It has been far too long since i have witnessed the beauty that is Samanthia :)
We went to the Freehouse on Albert street for supper, and it was one of those times that i was so interested in the conversation that i completely forgot what i had even been eating. Catching up with her was GREAT. she graduates in May, and im gonna go i hope i hope. As soon as she graduates tho she only has one week to pack up her things and move to wherever she is stationed :( so thats a huge down point.
After supper i dropped her off at some hotel where her and her RCMP buddies were predrinking before a night out.

Then i went and got lost again trying to get back to campus. as soon as i got to the dorms kayla called me and told me that she got off early, so i had to go back and get her.
we ate fresh delicious sushi
talked until like eleven
and i was asleep haha

Woke up this morning around ten, got some email updates from Cortlin, made me super jealous cause it sounds amazing in Mexico
went to Melrose Place for breakfast. It was super shitty
Then we went to the mall, i got a leather jacket from lechateau that i absolutely adore :) wandered around there for a bit. Went to the chinese market in greasy china town regina so Kayla could pick up a few things. It amazes me how our tastes differ, she picks up what looks like a bag of chips, and its really dried seaweed with squid powder :( not my fav. not even close haha
Then we did a quick tour of her school, and then i decided to head home.
The road were crazy shitty for some reason. every few yards were big ass patches of ice So it was a slow trip home for me, im so used to being able to do 150 the whole way :(

Got home, brought some strudel to my dear dear grandma.
had supper
and now im kinda ready to go to bed

Work tomorrow :(
This weekend went by way to fast.

I have decided that 24 hours is not enough time for one day. It seems like i just got home from work, super pumped to relax, and already it is 8:11 :(
So within the next hour or so i should be getting ready for bed, if i was smart anyway.
I accomplished....nothing today haha

My Ipod has music on it again. And im fucking thrilled.
The past month or so since my ipod was mysteriously wiped clean and computer crashed thus erasing everything i hold dear, has been a very long month. I feel as if i have lost bits and pieces of my identity.
So today i started getting some music back, and i discovered that I've grown to dislike the majority of the music i use to listen to.
I cant seem to find a torrent of Hey Ocean! tho :( which makes me extremely sad. BUT i did discover Uh Huh Her. haha kick ass. love it. period.
Oh, and i put Shakin Hands by Nickelback on it haha, yes....u have permission to slap me.

Yeah, that is pretty much the most exciting news i have today
well, there is one other thing.....
but ive decided that i refuse to talk about it until it happens. I feel like im jinxing myself.

Oh, and Ive started watching those workout video infomercials last night haha. And i found one that caught my interest. Its called Brazil Butt Lift haha and this greasy spanish guy or something designed it, and ya, it focuses on the bum.
Interesting.
Everyone tells me that now is the time to start working on ur beach bod.

Its so true, i never crave an apple when im hungover. I always end up eating something fried in butter. Delicious.

This was a really short week, but a long one.
Monday was a no work day cause it was family day. Tuesday i didnt go to work because it was my grandpas funeral. It was beautiful :) Bobs speech made me cry and they had this honor guard ritual that grandpas old war buddies did for him, so that was super cool. After the service we had a lunch with everyone. Nicole made enough food to feed an army which was super sweet of her. After the lunch the immediate family went to the internment. Grandpa got a prime location lol so it will be easy to find him and visit. I did pretty good with trying not to cry until Bob kissed the urn and lowered it into the ground. If there ever was a sadder sight, i never want to see it...
After that everyone came over to the house for more food and good company.

Wednesday i went back to work, i missed it alot :( so it was good to be back into the swing of things. After work Cortlin needed help shopping for a dress shirt for this siast dinner, so we went to midtown and did that. After that we went and met Chelsey and Danika at Osheas for a quick drink. Ran into Chevy Emily Aaron Landon Ashley and her new Bf. Oh and Graham was there too, he just had surgury :(
Then Cortlin left and me and the ladies walked down to Galaxy and saw Valentines Day. it was ok. Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner are horrible actors tho haha.

Thursday was another work day, enough said haha.
Had coffee with the lovely Brit that night :) i do adore our coffee times. Im sorry if all i did was be sad and rant about....

Friday at work i started feeling really tired, but then i kinda got silly and pretended to air kick/fight haha. Bev randomly called and asked if we liked icecream, or course we said yes, and then she was like, come get a shitload of free icecream. It was pretty much the best day of all time.
Except that it was Josh's last day :( which made me really sad. im gonna miss him putting me in a choke hold and sassin us all the time.

Last night was super fun tho.
At eight ish Chelsey and I went to the Deuce because Cortlin had txt me saying Clayton had invited me to come to this kegger thing he had won. I worked for Clayton last summer and adored him, so of course i wanted to see him and the work guys again. Clayton asked if i would work for him for like four days in april while Lucy was away, so ill probably do that. he pays me rediculously well, and i wanna help him out. Dale, my old supervisor, was a little tipsy and came to talk to me haha i even got a hug. A bunch of the workers were there too, but i didnt really recognise them out of coveralls and not covered in black dirty whatever they used to always be covered in. I kinda had hoped that Robbie would have been there, but he was not :(
Bought Marge her first yag bomb haha. She did not seem to have enjoyed it much :-p
Curtis has this german friend named Eckert and he asked me if there was a good place in town to dance. i told him it depended on what kind of music he liked....he says he likes death metal. I laughed super hard
Chelsea G and Faye came and picked us up later and we went to the Skuz. As i walk in i see my old friend Katlan so i told him i would buy him a drink. I got two jag bombs and got distracted and ended up just drinking them both haha. Got this shooter called a koolaid, and oh man its my new fav, so delicious. Danika showed up a bit later, same with Liz and Jordan :) so that was great.
Found Katlan later and i bought him a drink and actually gave it to him this time, he didnt need it tho lol he was pretty messed up. Bo Do was there too with his friends, so we hung out with him for a while. Then Carsie showed up! Haha im very impressed that i got her to come, it was her first time ever at a bar. I feel kinda bad tho, i was drunk so i got easily distracted and i always feel like i neglect ppl when i drink. I havent drank like that in a very long time :(
But i got to dance, cause dancing is what i craved. While on the dance floor Lacey poped out of no where :) i was hoping she would show up, so i joy hugged her haha. Her stupid boyfriend was with her tho, and hes actually really short and miserable. So he kinda pulled her away and that was the last i saw of Lacey for the night.
Eventually it was time to go home so Chelsea drove me home where i pushed all the wrong buttons on the alarm system, making noise and waking my poor parents :( sorry sorry

This morning i feel like crap ass shit.
made eggs, hashbrowns and fried balogne then threw it all into a sandwich with some cheddar. It was heaven in my mouth, beautiful greasy heaven.
So my tummy is happy
and now i want sushi

Chillin like a villan

This weekend has been super chill. The past two weekends have been like this actually, and i love it haha
Last night was the super overrated holiday known as V-day. Love all around.
Cortlin and I went to Nenos on Broadway for a super early supper. It was dead in there haha which was nice. If you're a fan of calamari, u MUST go to Nenos. They do theyre calamari like no other. delicious.
After that i watched him played Dante's Inferno for like four hours haha
I know that must sound super lame, but holy shit, that game is easily the most interesting thing to watch. Josh, you must play it, i know you've been lookin forward to it. Its intense.
Lol yeah

Today i decided to just bum aorund the house. I havent been home much at all in the past two or three days, so i feel like ive been neglecting a bit :(

watched For Keeps, with Molly Ringwald in it. Shes that cute redhead whos been in all thegood movies from the 80s like sixteen cadles, breakfast club, pretty in pink, etc etc

So far the weekend has been just grand.
Went for sushi on friday with Cortlin Liz Jordan and Courteny :) it was delicious as always, so much thanks to the talented staff at new island. Seeing Courteny made me realize how long its been since i worked, and that i miss it haha.
Back to it on tuesday tho!

After sushi I went to Josh's home where he was having a few ppl over
I drank vodka, and realized that i dont like vodka anymore :( it just makes me feel yucky and tastes like shit.
Dan was there :) which was really sweet cause he is the same dan, but better dressed haha.
all in all it was a good time
at one point i went to grab coffee for Jordan with Liz :) so we got to visit which is always nice

Sat morning Kayla woke me up saying she wanted dim sum lol so we went just the two of us, for some quality twin time. Ate like 19720824 sponge cakes cause theyre just so damn delicious
After that we went to check out that tea and coffee shop on Broadway. They have dozens of pot of loose tea all over the walls and coffee beans that you can smell and stuff.Then you pick what you want and they bag it for you. Its awesome, like a cute little traditional shop.
Anyway, i was smelling the coffee beans for some reason and came across a caramel flavoured one. Omg...it smelled so good
so i bought a bag
and i dont even drink coffee :(
but im gonna force myself to, because this stuff just smells amazing

Later i went and watched inglorious bastards at Cortlins. It was....good...very innacurate, but good? Lol, im not sure how i felt about it
Went home for like a half hour to wash my moms truck, then i went right back to cortlins. He and owen and Boots played COD. I surfed the net upstairs. cause thats what is cool to do on sat nights haha.
It was basically a nice chill movie night.

Today is Valentines Day, the most overrated, high expectations day of the whole entire year. I voted on pizza pops and movies lol.
So i just wanna say, on this day of love....that i love you all very much :) ur awesome.

I remember the multiple hospital rooms Ive gone into to clean. Each one looked the same.
Until i looked into the garbage can, and inside would be a cardboard strip...and i would know what that meant.
The patient had died.
They brought in a brand new body bag.
Cracked the seal, and disguarded the cardboard strip into the garbage.
Zip it up
Moving on.

I never thought about what happened before the strip came off. I never ever even considered it

Until today, all my thoughts were of that stupid cardboard strip
and how the person who found it in the garbage wouldnt care or even consider...
and now im angry
angry at the nurses sitting outside the room, singing some random song and giggling
Bob telling us all to leave. He wanted time with his dad who was in a coma
He didnt want us there when his breathing stopped.
God knows it was terrifying enough when the next breath didnt come right away after the last.

and then mom had to start praying

definition of long day

At the end of today it feels as if I have been awake for something like 40hrs.
Was at work for two hours when i got a phone call from mom and she was like "Im on my way to get grandma and bringher to the hospital, and you need to get there. grandpa has taken a turn for the worst"
As soon as i put down the phone im in tears, rushing to call Bev and tell her im leaving. So imust send out my sorrys to Courteny and Lacey, cause i hate randomly nreaking down in front of ppl.
So i rushed to the hospital after calling Kayla and filling her in. Went up to PCU to see my grandpa. There are some sights you just never wanna see, and that was one...
i wont go into details tho
Somehow the tough old fart managed to pull out of his rough state and stabalize. Then the doctor comes and tells us that on top of his failing kidneys, a weak heart, and lungs full of fluid, he now has peunomonia as well :( and i guess that these paniced phone calls saying hes having a bad turn is gonna be something im gonna hear almost daily until he looses :(
So it sucks. I know him tho, hes Bobs dad. Hes gonna fight with every last breath.

After grandpa fell asleep i went and picked up Kayla who had been flown in on some tiny emergency flight, curtosy of Bobs friend Gary and his excellent quick thinking.
We went home so i could change.
Met mom
Then went right back to the hospital.
Visited for a while, then we went back home and i just crashed. Oh, i bought paranormal activity cause for some reason a horror movie was more appealing then Time Travelers Wife haha.

Then out of no where my doorbell rings and mom tells me to come up
it was Cortlin :)
he brought a Reese peanut buuter cup icecream cake haha. So that was pretty much the best thing ever :)
so we all had a huge ass piece. i appreciated it more then he knows

Around seven we went back to the hospital to see grandpa one last time. Mom kinda coddled him a bit, and you could tell that grandpa was irritated haha . i love that about him tho, even in that state he holds onto his pride, and told mom to take the damn straw out of his tea and let him drink it himself lol

Now im home
and i wish that i didnt have to work tomorrow.

So the shooter party was last night. I do believe it was a grand success. The mix of ppl was super good.
I dont know how to explain it other then just look at the photos haha
those will be up shortly. Im sad i lost it for a few hours tho :( missed some stuff.

struggled trying to unlock my house, so my mom had to come let me in.
slept for like two hours
then went back to cortlins to help clean a few stubborn stains
went to see my grandpa at the hospital
then went and picked up cortlin again and went for dim sum!
they gave us one of those huge round tables for just the two of us haha and the line was out the door so i could tell that everyone hated us. Oh well, it was delicious.

After that i went home and went straight back to bed
just woke up now
so maybe ill shower

Catch up on the weekend!!!
Saturday was my staff belated xmas party. It was at the Parktown Hotel just off the university bridge. They said it started at six so Cortlin and I went down there but they wouldnt let us into the comedy club yet cause Bev and Sarah weredoing something to set up?
Hilah Michelle and Carsie then showed up, so we decided to go and wait over in the little Irish pub (which is actually rediculously awesome and the drinks are only THREE DOLLARS on saturdays haha so we should go there) plus the bartenders are unaturally beautiful
It was kinda funny. whenever i introduced Cortlin to anyone they would respond with "Yeah i know, i creeped you on Facebook" Carsie went as far as to say "When i first heard about you, i pictured a dark haired boy with tattoos. You have a cute baby face"
lol it was entertaining.
Courteny came soon after so we hung around a bit more then went back into the comedy club. Had some pretty not so good catering.
Then Bev and Sarah gave door prizes. I won a nice set of four, original brew first edition Guiness beer with a fancy cup haha. i was going to trade it (i hate guiness) until i realized that everyone wanted it. so i decided to be an asshole and keep it for a special occasion :-p
After that we went back to the Irish pub to do some drankin. Chris did a dirty panties shot which looks friggin disgusting :( made Corltin do a shot of 151 which he then proclaimed his hatred for me and promised to later vomit in my mouth -_- lovely
Went back to see the longest comedy show of all time. In truth it was only two hours long, but it was sub par so it kinda dragged...
After that we left, went to wing nuts. Ran into Sean James and Dave
James proceeded to show me a photo named "The Ultimate Sadness" haha. which did in fact make me kind of sad....but mostly curious.....i mean....why does it look like that? How did it get that way?

Sunday i woke up, went and spent some time with my grandma cause shes all alone in the care home. Grandpa is in the hospital :( so he hasnt been able to go and see her three times a day.
So i did that, then went and had a super early supper at Manos with Chelsea. I havent been in there since i was like twelve so i did not at all expect all the fancy renovations they did!
Had some nummy pasta
Had some good chats
Then i went home for a bit
didnt hear from Bob who was supposed to call me about going to visit my grandpa. So around seven i decided to just go on my own. Bob had left like five min before i got there so i just visited with my grandpa a bit :)
He looked really good. Maybe it was all the drugs they had him on, but he was very happy and had lots of energy, so i was glad that i went to see him.

After visiting hours were over i went back home and attempted to watch Valkyrie.
Its a stupid movie
dont do it

So i turned that off and went to bed
Today i worked
then saw my grandma again
then made supper for Bob and his brother
then worked out for two hours :(
and now im going to bed again
sigh
