This weekend had it's ups and downs. Friday was just chill, everyone seemed to have to work early the next morning do not much was accomplished. Although I did take Cortlin to this new restaurant Afghan. It's middle eastern food and also a hookah place at the same time. So it was kinda cool to be able to smoke that in public. After supper we just watched movies. Tada, that was Friday.
Well almost..
Saturday morning I woke up not too happy but I had promised to help mom with some yard stuff, so I went and did that with her and Bob. Then she dragged me to about seven furniture stores to look at kitchen tables because the lovely Kaylee decided to chew ours to splinters.
Sat night started with going to Aaron's house. He's a friend of Cortlin's from school. Man, those guys are just so nice. Especially his girlfriend, Tiffany. Even though I knew no one and it was somewhat awkward, it was still kinda nice.
Aorund nine I went and met the gang at Winstons for a few hours. Had nom nom spring rolls and a super shitty rye and coke .I don't know why I asked for rye. I don't ever drink it :( it sucked.
Then I went back to Aarons to pick up Cortlin, dropped him off and went home to play pokemon yellow on my bb for two hours haha.
Sunday I woke up early, and just wandered. I pretty much was all over the place. Bulk Barn, HomeSense, mall, bookstore, broadway roastery, Michaels.
Just didn't wanna stay in one place, was in a funny mood.
But on the plus I got supplies for my Europe scrapbook.
Yeah, I know, I haven't even gone yet. But I wanted to get a head start on getting the basics done.
Yeah, I accomplished not much this weekend.
I already wish this week was done. I want to go to the Hose on Friday.

Run to the Hills
I don't know what happened to this week, but I like it haha. I remember Tuesday like it was this morning, yet already it is Friday. This is thrilling :)
It was a pretty quiet week, with Cortlin being in Calgary with the bros. I spent alot of time at the Broadway Roastery on 8th. Three nights in a row I was there, just reading this stupid Atlas Shrugged booked. It is slowly drawing me in though, which is a relief.
Last night though Brittney was oh so lovely as to join me at the BR for our coffee date :)
It was great as always, plus we got to discuss Europe more and more (49 days!)
When I got home I got to talk to Liz for a while which was super awesome :) With her being in Calgary for the summer I get to talk with her less and less. But I'm going to make the effort to keep in touch and make a trip down there at least once this summer! I miss her dearly.
I am in a good mood this morning. Even though revenue canada has been sending me letters that make little to no sense...so I should probably make some phone calls.
Tonight, I am going to take Cortlin out for supper. I haven't told him where because I want it to be a surprise :)

Sunny Days
Where do I even begin with this weekend?
Friday:
I was determined to end up at the bar at some point during the night, so I got all dressed up then picked up Boots and Cortlin and we went to James' for what was easily the greatest night we have had in ages.
His mom started to bring out all of the toys from his childhood like Skip-it and batons and chalk and a skooter and a rocket haha. Of course, with it being the rapture Josh and Johnny were drawing pentagrams all over the road. At one point I was tracing johnny in the middle of one when Josh was like OMG. We look up and theres a black cat just sitting there, batting at the air. So we lost our shit.
Enjoyed out time there until about eleven, then we all went to Belieys. It was ladies night, so all the girls got a flower and a glass of champagne. Hilah was working which is always awesome :)
Otherwise the bar was totally empty, but we all just owned the dancefloor anyway.
Cortlin was being mr.sad face so I took him home them went back for a bit, then drove Josh home and that was the end of the great night.
Saturday:
Started with Josh being brilliant and suggesting dim sum. So He, Cortlin and I went and did that. SO delicious.
After that Cortlin and I went to the mall because he needed new pants. Then watched Arrested Development until I had to go to my grandpa's to see my uncle who was in town for the weekend from Winnipeg. He's a different character.
After that I went back to James and we had a fire. But I didn't last long, I was tired as hell for some reason.
Man, I'm sick of writing haha. Sunday was Cortlin's BQQ. I went to go and see Your Highness, it was gay.
Monday I did nothing, and it was amazing.
Short work week!
Oh and the real itinerary went up. And this time it makes sense :)
52 days!

You can be so kind...sometimes
Last night I went to Amigos for supper with Brittney. Yeah, I know, jealous. It was so super delicious. I don't eat there enough I believe. Plus my date my hot.
:)
Got home, made butter tarts and watched Criminal Minds.
Britt txt me to say that our flight itinerary was up! Apparently we leave at 1:40 in the afternoon on the 15th, but then it says that the flight doesn't arrive in Toronto until 6 am? Which makes zero sense. So I hope that the GoAheadTour girl calls me back today and explains...
That'd be nice.
Tomorrow is Friday!
Long weekend!
Fuck ya!

Hey hey..My my
Yesterday dragged and dragged. I think that it had something to do with the sky being so grey and gloomy all day. But after work I went to toonie tuesday with Cortlin and we saw Paul.
It was....likeable. Not great, not bad. Just likeable. Not much else to say about it but on the way home all we did was talk about camping and mischief because the movie had alot of that. :)
Went home and gave Sam a call to do some catching up. Mostly about Vampire Diaries and all that is girly, but it was nice. June can't come fast enough!
This morning I woke up at 5:30 to go for a run haha. I haven't had time to do it at night this week, so I figure that this is the only way to get er done.
Today was the first day of just having Clayton and I in the office, and it's been pretty chill I must say. I love Clayton, where Cortlin's family has become my second family, Clayton and Danielle have become like a second aunt and uncle to me haha. So this week will be good.
Other then that, nothing interesting to report.
I hope there is a package for me to pick up when I get home, from Forever 21. Stupid impulsive purchase, but oh well.
Oh man, so Monday I decided to try and be creative with cooking again. Ended up stuffing chicken breats with cream cheese, tomatoes and...oysters haha. Then I put it in a casserole dish with oil and white wine in the bottom to kinda cook it in.
Man, as soon as I put it in the over I was like....I hate oysters...why the hell did I do that...this is going to be so god damn disgusting.
But it turned out suprisingly good.
Although I would never do it again haha

Time Flys when You Close ur Eyes
The phone keeps on ringing, and everytime I pick it up it's just dial tone. Keeps on happening...freaking me out a bit!
So this weekend was pretty excellent I must say.
Friday at work was great, because I did the April bank rec and it only took me 20 minutes, as apposed to the three weeks it took me to do the March one? So gay, but I am happy to be done.
After work Cortlin and I went to Athenas for supper. It was pretty meh if I do say so myself. Then we picked up the lovely Brittney and went over to Johnny's to pre-drink before Daft Punk at Scratch.
Overall it was a pretty good show. The music was awesome, but WAY TOO LOUD. I like loud music as much as the next young thang, but Friday night was just crazy. One guy was tripping out on either E or good times, but either way he didn't stop his violent dancing all night haha. I enjoyed him, Cortlin just wished he would get punched in the face.
The only bad thing about the show was the "DJs" themselves. It was a Daft Punk tribute band, but they didn't even try. They came out in snowmobile helmets and played off an ipod all night. So they suck as human beings, but the music made up for it.
Saturday morning my mom wanted me to go garage sale sailing with her :) I had more success then she did. Managed to find to men's sweaters that will be comfy as hell, and two vintage waist belts from some old lady near Broadway. All costing 2.50 haha.
Then I made the mistake of going to Tonic, where I got a couple cool pairs of pants for more then I wanted to spend :(
Went to the new Christies bakery on Broadway too. OMG. My mom and I sat in the car eating this fresh croissant and basically died it was so delicious.
Then I went to the Hendrik's with Cortlin's family for an amazing fish fry. Three kinds of fish, all so delicious. Marge made alcoholic smoothies as well, so so good.
After that everyone gathered at James' for the first firepit of the year :) Yay summer! I enjoyed it, it was a good time. But the best time had to be when I took Dave, Doug and Cortlin for Hot-N-Readys. Haven't laughed that hard in my life. The sass, the hate. Oh Doug :)
Sunday morning I had brunch with my dad at Kelly's. It was delicious but it took way too long to cook up just eggs and toast.
Then he took me outta town and showed me this cute little lake house he's thinking of buying. I was surprised that he wanted to move out of the city, but it;s gorgeous and I know he'll love it :)
Plus he said if his offer goes through, that I can bring all my friends up for a weekend and he'll gimme the keys. Bam.
Sunday night I had the intention of taking Cortlin to some secret spot for supper. But he decided to make me supper instead :) It was super delicious, BBQ steak :)
Nom Nom
Then we just watched Heroes. Haha, I've never seen it, but it's pretty damn good.
I looked at my calendar this morning when I got into work, and I can't believe it's already May 16th!
60 days until Europe.
3 months until I'm done working at Shear Fab.
and then school?
Good Lord.

Glee: a breakdown
This one goes out to Josh, as per his request.
So last night I was working out and Glee was on, so I watched it. Before I can begin on the horror that was this episode, I must first recap the rise and fall of Glee, seasons 1 and 2.
Season 1 started out really good. The songs were done in their own original way, and the character development was believable. Plus the humor was kick ass and non stop. It addressed pretty much every highschool challenge that we've almost all have been through.
Then we get to season two. The number of songs per episode went from 6 to 2 or 3, and they seemed to be just karaoke versions of the originals.
Then suddenly Sanatana reveals she's a lesbian, out of no where. Maybe I was the only one who was shocked, but really. It was a bit much. Ever since then, that's all that the episodes seem to focus on, gay/lesbian relationships. Not that I have anything against the subject, it just seemed a bit much.
Storylines are also crumbing around any other character, it's just hard to watch now.
Like for example, what's up with Finn's character? He was the cookie cutter good guy, sweet and thoughtful. And it worked. But in season two he goes into sudden asshole mode where he gets Quinn to cheat on Sam with him. And not one shit is given by him. It's just not like his character...
But you know when I reached my breaking point?
When, in last night's episode, they sang Rebecca Black's Friday song. Really? Really guys?
I don't know if it was meant to be hip or funny...but in an episode that featured Adele and Christina Perri who are legit and really good artists...I'm just like...urgh. You paid money...really money to Rebecca Black just so you could make me loose all faith in pretty much everything. It wasn't even funny to watch....just painful.
Let's not forget the cherry on top, which was the two minutes of going from crying character to crying character as they complained about how much prom sucked and how first thing on Monday they were going to transfer schools due to humiliation.
Shoot me.
Just...shoot me.
Sorry Glee, but I think that it's time that we saw other people.
I'm tradin up.

Every Girl's Crazy bout a Sharp Dressed Man
This weekend was pretty excellent I must say. Friday after work I went for a run, then got all showered up and dressed up. We all went to Winstons for some chill time. Hannah was in town with her new boy Donovan, aka DJ. So got to meet him, and I think he's pretty sweet :)
After that Cortlin and I went and finished the season of Freaks and Geeks. Loved it.
Saturday morning Cortlin woke me up for some dim sum. Always a good idea in my books.
Then we decided to go to Amazing Stories, and when we got there there was a bunch of boy scouts outside all dressed up in comic character gear, selling hot dogs. It was then that we realized that it was free comic book day. score. But it was busy as hell in there, which threw me off. I like it way better when its quite and empty, I feel more inclined to browse.
I got a few goodies though, so that made me happy. Then we went and chilled at my place until 3, then went and got Matt to go and see Thor. Man, it was actually pretty good. My expectations weren't that high for it, but I was surprised.
I was even more surprised when we went to the car to find a ticket saying my plates were invalid. GOD DAMN IT. So that blew.
Went to Wok Box with Mom and Bob, then headed to Cortlins. Him and Boots and Matt were gaming and quite content to do so all night, so I made the decision to James' and drink. Good times, great times. Eventually we decided to go to Scratch and shoved two too many people in Chelsea's car. As we were going over the bridge Josh took off my shoe and proceeded to pretend to pass it to some guy in the truck beside us. Being drunk and stupid I thought he had actually done it and let out a scream that only belong in some Horror film as a girl discovers her entire fraternity has been slaughtered.
It was funny though.
Got to Scratch, had a shot of tequila and just list all interest in living haha. So Cortlin came and got me and took my sorry ass home.
Next morning I woke up thinking....yup, I love gin, I'm totally ok.
SO I made my mom a mother's day omlette that looked just horrible, I suck at omlettes. Can't get them to ever look nice :(
Then I went and lay on the couch for a bit, until the nausea came. Then I died for a while. Wanted to go to sleep, but I had to go and get my car from James' because my mother's day gift was inside it haha.
Did that, brought some flowers to my other mother Marge lol. Scared the crap out of her as I snuck up on her, brilliant.
Went home, read and napped. Around five I was dragged to the Odeon for a steak night for my cousin's violin group. It was dece.
And now it's monday, and I think I may have to admit defeat on this bank rec and call Lucy....

On my Own, Here we Go
Thursday is a good day. It comes before Friday, and so I like it. Although I would like it more if it was pay day! I wore my easy tones to work? I kinda wanna see how they feel in everyday life to determine whether or not I am going to take them in July..
I also wished I worked in a school today as they are all being lazy and not going to work today. Damn, so jealous.
Last night the Daniels, Cranks, Germans and I all went to Foxy's to celebrate Clayton, my boss' birthday. They have now become my second family to be honest, and at times I feel like I spend more time with them then with my own.
So we had a good dinner, then went back to Clayton and Danielle's to look at their daughter Brooke's pictures from her trip to Spain. She gave me a bunch of packing tips which I think are going to be a huge help :)
Then I went home and had a good long phone conversation with the lovely Samanthia Lukash :)
It was awesome. To say I miss that girl is an understatement. So that made my night :)
That's all I have to report!

No Good Title
I can't believe that it's already May. A little more then two months until Brittney and I are off on our worldly adventures :) I have a feeling it's going to sneak up on me.
Friday the lovely Josh Dornan came home for the summer from Calgary. So we had a little welcome home thinger at Sean's. It was awesome. I drank gin, which treated me very well the next day actually.
Unfortunately Cortlin took the night a little too quick and too hard, so he was out and on his way home pretty early :( A big thanks to Jodi for driving me home!
Next morning Cortlin called me at seven to ask about the night, then I went back to sleep until eleven ish. Pick him up and then we went for lunch at The Yard. Man, if you like calamari, then you have to have the calamari at the Yard. It is so fantastic. Adore.
We attempted to go see Battle LA at Rainbow, but nothing was playing until the evening so I opted to taking a nap on his lap while he played video games haha.
Around three I went home to spend some time with mommy :)
Went to check out this new salon in University Heights for some reason. It was meh.
Then we hit Booster juice for the 2 for 1 deal. On the way in we see a guy doing circles around his car, and of course my mom asked him what was wrong. Turns out he locked his keys in his car along with his newborn baby >_< fail. Someone must have brought him a spare or something because he was gone a few minutes later.
Went to Indigo. Got a shitty book. Which made me sad, because it was by Meg Cabot and I used to love her stuff, but man, this one sucked.
Cortlin's Grandparents were in town so I went and had dinner with their family and the Germans. Marge made delicious lasagna :)
Around ten, Cortlin and I went down to EastView Bowl for Courteny's birthday. I hadn't bowled in years, but I had fun :) We had the intention of going to The Hose after so I went to Seans to meet up with Brittney and hopefully convince some of the guys to go. They were down and super awesome, hillarious drunk. Loved it. But when we get there, they aren't letting anyone else in. So I was lame and discouraged and just went home. Only to find out the next morning that everyone went to Scratch, damnit damnit damnit. Reminds me of that beer commercial about the "I'm in" guy. I should have just said Im in haha.
Sunday morning I was woken early by mom to go to Mason's confirmation. It was a long mass. I was drained after, which I guess means I should go more. Maybe..
Aunt had a BBQ for everyone after which was super delicious.
Then I went home and slept for three hours like a total piece of shit. Did nothing until nine when I went to go see Battle LA. It was actually really good? I expected less, but it was good.
Back to work
Sigh

Back to work
Sigh
