This week in a Nutshell

Hmm, what have I even accomplished so far this week...

Monday was all lecture all day. The Dean of Nursing came and brought us all cupcakes which is always a good way to make us love you :-p Then we had a lawyer come in and explain to us the whole legal process of having someone involuntarily admitted into the psych ward etc etc.
That afternoon this guy came in to teach us the basics of TLR, Transferring Lifting and Repositioning patients. The most I learned was that nurses see more violence in their career then a cop. Don't tell my mother!

Tuesday was a shotty day. Just in a terrible mood and nothing seemed to go right. One thing was that my 100 teacher comes up to my Wellness Day group and says that our presentation with the non alcoholic shooters won't work. I lost my shit. Why the hell did she tell us a week before it was due and we were already well into planning?!?! Why the fuck wouldn't she tell us ten days ago when we pitched the idea to her and she said it was great.

Wednesday was a short day. Just had lecture on documentation and then watched a movie called the Weyburn Project. It was about the mental hospital in Weyburn Sask and just its super messed up history. Its a documentary, so I encourage you all to watch it.
Then only thing that I didn't like about it is that it was directed by a bunch of artists and such so it got a little over emotional at times.
Still, watch it, the history is super interesting.

This morning I have a five hour lab on the actual movements of TLR. So I imagine I'll be sore as hell from lifting and moving all morning.
Should be fun!

One more week until Turkey Weekend! Yay!
