Another Piece of the Puzzle

Today was my first day back to school since 2008 and let me tell ya, I honestly missed it. As soon as I was walking into the building I was just like...ahh...back in the mix.

Well, until I found out that I was in the wrong building and the nurses had their own building behind the main SIAST campus. Which is going to suck in the winter time because its about a 8-10 walk.

But anyways, my class has only 32 people in it which blows my mind considering the demand for psych nurses is so high. There are only two guys and the rest are girls. Which kinda makes me nervous, because we all know how catty us girls can be haha.

The head of our department came and talked to us for quite a while, just explaining stuff. Found out that even though the first eight months of my second year will still be in one of the four of those shitty towns, the last six months of the program I can basically go anywhere. ANYWHERE. I can go back to Saskatoon if I want, or I can go over to the UK if I want haha.

Did a tour of the main building as well where we will have at leats one class a day. One of our labs is there too, and the entire 8th floor is set up like a real hospital where we will be working with these mannequins that can talk, move their mouths and blink hahah. So that should be extremely creepy, but I'm super pumped.
Plus we get to work on the same floor as the emts as well, and there are some pretty men up there let me tell you.

Got a few of my books but was lucky enough that some third year nurse texted me last night saying she would sell me five books for 120 bucks. Crazy good deal, so that saved me like 300 dollars.

But yeah, overall I left today feeling extremely happy. I haven't felt this good about what I was doing since...well ever really. This career choice just feels so right for me.
I'm content.
Although apparently the first semester is what could kill you haha.

Got to get to know Kylee more when I got home too. She's actually really cool :)

So far so good Regina.

Although I am still counting down the days until I go home on Friday haha
